Innovation in Learning Techniques-Volunteers Needed

As outlined in the most recent Connect in Brief article, our Operations team in collaboration with Innovate18, is carrying out the first ever test of a new way of learning on Crossrail- Spaced Learning.

Developed by academics at Oxford University, Spaced Learning is structured learning with a certain amount of rest in between each learning period.

Sign up To trial this new method, we need 60 volunteers to take part in a learning study, which will take about an hour of your time. We have two sessions, Wednesday 13 April at 9am or 11am, or an hour at your convenience between 13-18 April.

Volunteers will also need to complete an online test and questionnaire the following week to compare learning outcomes. This will take no more than 20 minutes, and can be done in your own time.

What’s it all about? Marsha Kemp, Operations Business Support Manager, said: “The aim is to test new ways of learning for the Crossrail community to expand their knowledge of how we will eventually bring everything together to create the operational railway.”

Register your interest here by 1 April. If you have any additional questions, feel free to get in touch with the Innovate18 team. Thanks in advance for your participation.
