Galliford Try Infrastructure is seeking a commercial partner to develop a solution on how to use technology to avoid utility strikes when excavating.
This project meets a considerable industry need, not only within the water industry but all infrastructure providers such as gas, telecoms and electricity as service and utility strikes remain a key construction risk.
The challenge is to develop and investigate technologies including sensors that detect underground networks. These are important as a key risk in excavation is where information and data on existing services is either missing, incomplete or inaccurate.
To successfully complete this project Galliford Try Infrastructure are seeking a commercial partner who would be interested in developing this technology in a commercial sense.
